Supported Brokers
Arconomy connects to your broker through the FIX API provided by the cTrader trading platform. Any broker that offers a cTrader account with FIX API access can be connected to Arconomy.
How Arconomy Connects
Arconomy uses the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol to communicate with your broker. FIX is an industry-standard messaging protocol used by institutional traders, brokers, and exchanges worldwide for electronic trading.
The FIX API connection is provided through the cTrader platform. When you connect a broker account to Arconomy, you configure the FIX API credentials in your cTrader web application and enter the connection details into Arconomy. This establishes a direct connection for real-time price data streaming and order execution.
Because Arconomy connects through cTrader's FIX API, your broker must offer a cTrader account. Brokers that only offer MetaTrader or proprietary platforms are not currently supported.

Choosing a Broker
When selecting a broker for use with Arconomy, consider the following:
- Instruments: Ensure the broker offers the specific instruments your strategy targets through their cTrader platform.
- Spreads and commissions: Compare the raw spread and commission structure across brokers, especially for strategies with frequent trades or small profit targets.
- Regulation: Choose a broker regulated by a reputable financial authority in your jurisdiction.
- cTrader account availability: Confirm the broker offers cTrader accounts in your region, as some brokers restrict cTrader availability by jurisdiction.
